The cycle of nutrients in farm soil

The nutrients in a pasture system constantly cycle through soil organisms, pasture plants, and grazing livestock. Appropriate nutrient management can enhance the nutrient cycle, increase productivity, and reduce costs.

There are two important factors that need to be considered to achieve balanced plant growth and adequate nutrition in grazing animal:

• An even distribution and constant supply of all plant nutrients must be ensured.
